JFK [Track 11]


JFK is a famous speech given by John. F. Kennedy expanding on a “tightly nit, highly concentrated” conspiracy in America whose “secrets are not revealed” and whose “dissenters are silenced.” If nothing else, I put this clip in here to provoke thinking about President Kennedy’s words because I do think it matters and should not be taken lightly.   

Considering it is (historically) an issue where presidents talk candidly, I personally think our President was talking about the Federal Reserve system/banking establishment and their influence over institutions like the media. It seems he is focusing on the media because he knows they are the ones who are responsible for informing the American public. That is why the “very word secrecy is repugnant in a free and open society” and why the “Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime that any citizen should shrink from controversy.” And “so it is to the printing press; to the recorder of man’s deeds” in order to expose the economic tyranny so that “man can be what he was born to be; free and independent.”

Love and Respect [Track 22]

This song represents a theme that is present in Lyceum Recordz and that is Love & Respect for women. In this song, I am talking about the ideal girl for me. "She get me high, when i come by." Here, I am talking about how she makes me feel. I'm NOT saying that the girl for me literally gets me high all the time. Instead, I should feel high when I'm around her because her smile makes me wild. Naturally, that makes me want to be closer to her emotionally and sexually (and "make her body cry"). The first verse is about me meeting a girl I'm crazy about and deciding it would be okay if I "fell into her" and became closer. The second verse is me realizing I am in love with this girl because of the way she makes me feel (i.e. "butterflys in my stomach" and a "feel'n of heaven"). Edulution: 20 Hey! by Lyceum Recordz Hey! is a poem that is about finding a compatible mate; rather than strictly just someone who is physically attractive. A bazaar is an old and universal term meaning store or market. I am trying to paint a picture of an older black woman named Charese who comes over to me from across the bar to try and 'pick me up' for the night. She is smart and open minded! She shocks me by being selfless, buying a couple drinks just to have a good time, and dedicating them to cleaning up the gulf--which, when I wrote this, was being filled with Oil by the BP spill. However, it is impossible to ignore that she is looking at me with wanting eyes.
