Apollo's Music [Track02]

Image
“ Apollo’s  Music ” opens with a correlation and combination of sight and sound. “Lyrical spectacles” is talking about seeing words, i.e. “Cillia can see,” which means the hairs in-side your ears now have vision (e.g. you are listening to music that will help you see a different worldveiw/philosophy). The hook is suppose to be a funny way of saying that most music, although not Apollo’s, is so stupid it prevents us from envisioning our (economic) potential. The second verse is making an egotistic statement about my ability and commitment as a real artist. While the third and second verses challenge the established hip-hop ideology after demonstrating an abstract but definitive use of word play which presents an aura of condescension. Lyrics: Round One, this the irrevocable lyrical wrecking ball  (bass hits) I'm wreck'n ya'll Impeccably incredible lyrical specticals,  but only for your collea, like blow'n up your retina Dynamite, the swag is flexible, diatribe, and dine

Wild! [Track 01]

Wild! introduces the premise, making both enemies and friend aware that friendship is the preferred path. However, if help is denied, usurpation is always an option to surpass and ascend the supposed position. Therefore, thank you for sending me grace taste and style because, either way, chaos ensues and you will not be exempt from my presence. Apollo’s Music and Dionysus Rhythm represent the Apollonian and Dionysian forces that create a dichotomy in human cognition.  Apollo’s Music is an introduction of content and an overly chauvinistic style of lyricism that displays an eclectic vocabulary that would take a dictionary or years of education to fully grasp in meaning.   " Dionysus Rhythm " is designed to evoke an energetic relate-ability while being overly chauvinistic in skill--presenting a clear display of talent. The EDULUTION Album!

Image
EDULUTION: The Education Revolution Album is the premier record from Apollo, the founder of Lyceum Recordz. The album represent an epistemic shift in thinking about the world and American history. It will broaden your scope of knowledge about the  cultural  ethos with eclectic vocabulary, elite lyricism, superior sound, prestigious cadence, and a hard-hitting delivery. It's a classic and you should hear what it's all about! Purchase the CD at LyceumRecordz.com or the Album is available on iTunes , and Spotify .  EDULUTION is a concerto and truly a work of art! Taken by chorus and verse the lyrics heighten the intellect, please the ear, and leave the listener satisfied but wanting more. Taken by song, the composure, focus, and dynamic comes into view. But it is only when the songs and their combined meaning become an interdependent story does the essence of the message come forth. Just as a painting with a million dots, the further you stand back, the more you see how the flow

Love Wins! Hip-Hop, History, and the Occupy Wall Street Movement!

Image
MLK Memorial in Washington  There are many individuals today who are quick to criticize hard-working, honest Americans like Russel Simmons; calling him a hypocrite for supporting the Occupy Wall Street movement--while owning a credit card company. Well think about this; Thomas Jefferson is seen as the quintessential patriot saying “all people were created equal” but owned a plantation full of slaves. The important thing to focus on here is that both Jefferson and Simmons are talking about the functionality of the system. They are saying that if we put the right policies into effect, it won’t matter how much money “I” make because it will be redistributed through taxes, for the benefit of EVERYONE! (In Jefferson's case, it’d be illegal to own slaves) ...And, since taxes are not currently redistributing the national wealth properly, “I’m gonna give (my money) away, anyways!” (Although, Jefferson never freed his slaves.) Still, like Russell says, his credit card company “don’t ru
