E$ [Track 17]


E$ is the aggregate of Apollo and Dionysus but only rationally cynical, emotionally scared, and expresses his guarded contempt with passions taken to an extreme. He’s not right, he’s not wrong, he just says it because that’s who he is and that’s how he feels. It’s off the cuff, raw, and real. He is a product of society, has no remourse, is not sorry, will do it again, and absolutely dying for further confrontation!

“When I say don’t think about bunnies, you think about bunnies... so don’t think about...” a bunch of random things that paint a crazy portrait of reckless hedonism. With "Sunny rape'n Cher in Philidelphia" I was thinking about “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and the popularity of cynical comedy. …’tear’n hair in Shelbyville, smoke salvia in Homie’s home, with Homer’s poems, and some sober Noam.” This lyric is referring to the number one longest running cartoons, the Simpson's. Shelby-ville is the town right next to Springfield. So, I am in a cartoon world, at homer’s house, reading “Homer’s poems and some sober(ing) Noam (Chomsky books).

I am basically telling people I feel like I'm trapped in a cartoon-like fantacy world where people fall asleep if you try to teach them anything of substance because (sadly) we are socialized to mindless and shocking entertainment that succeeds in making a joke of our cynical and ignorant desires.

The next 4 sentences express the mentality of E$. H. R. Giger (pronouced "g-EE-ger" in the native tounge) is a German artist who does very vivid sexual imagery in his promiscuous and riskay gothic portraits. (The alien in “Alien” was once just another peice of art by Giger.) "Stick'n it up with riffles" is a theme you will see with E$ because words are often more powerful than weapons.

Apollo vs. Dionysus (The Dichotomy Explained)

Apollonian and Dionysian is a literary, philosophical, and/or psychological concept that represents the figurative dichotomy between Apollo and Dionysus in Greek Mythology. Apollonian thought is concerned with logic, rationality, perfection, art, beauty, clarity, self-control, humanity, and creation. While Dionysian is prone to excess, instinct, chaos, intoxication, destruction, passion, nature, the irrational, and the illogical. Friedrick Nietzsche expands upon this concept in The Birth of Tragedy where the hero and main protagonist of the drama tries to make order (Apollonian) out of his unfair and chaotic (Dionysus) fate. Edulution: 13 Mind Control by Lyceum Recordz "None are more helplessly enslaved than those who faslely believe they are free." - Johann Wolfgang Goethe  Mind Control picks up where The Rebirth of Hope left off. The intro sets the stage for the song's intensity and creates an allure that the listener is not going to necessarily like what s/he hears, but it is necessary to recognize because people are playing with your mind like it is a Nintendo game.
